Loneliness as a redemtion
I joined Ade and some other people on Friday, we had a few drinks at Noel's and then we went to a party by the river, in Zlute Lazne. It was OK. It was nice with the river right there, we were sitting on the pier chatting. I came back home quite late so Saturday was a lazy day. I went to Vysehrad, where I met a friend of a friend. It was nice. I needed to talk to someone. But that was short and I was too tired to join Ade & co. for a boat party that they planned. And yesterday was another lonely day. I went to church and cleaned the kitchen (finally!) but I was done around 4pm. And I had nothing else to do. I didn't want to go to Vysehrad again. It was too hot for skating and too cold for swimming. I wasn't in a mood for any movie either. It was a bad day.
Fortunately today is a new day. Not that it's much better. I'm still depressed. People are going to karaoke but I don't like it and I'm not in a mood for a big party. But Lida and Andrea are in town so maybe I'll go out somewhere. I don't know myself what I want. (That's not new, should get used to it.)
I need to find me some new friends, see some new faces. But when you're not a student any more, it seems extremely difficult.
I'm such an idiot! I need a brain surgery. Or better heart surgery!
This should a good time, a redemption time! But I'm not able to make use of it without someone to share this time with. Which makes no sense because I was supposed to be alone and enjoy it!

Marzenia
Bywa że nie jestem szczery
Czasem zwyczajnie kłamię
Jestem próżny pazerny
Dbam tylko o swoje cztery litery
Bywam małostkowy
Cyniczny i bezduszny
Osądzam bez litości
Bez serca i miłości
Miewam nieczyste intencje
Łamię własne zasady
Jestem niekonsekwentny
Drażliwy i nieznośny
Nie potrafię słuchać
A sam bez przerwy gadamJ
ak bym istniał tylko ja
A światem rządził szatan
Chciałbym być zawsze niewinny i prawdziwy
Chciałbym być zawsze pełen wiary i nadziei
Tak jak Bolek i Lolek
Tytus, Romek i Atomek
Dzieci z Bullerbyn
Tomek na tropach yeti
Tak jak król Maciuś pierwszy
Asterix i Obelix
Jak załoga G
MacGyver i Pipi
A ja jestem sam i dobrze sie mam
O sobie tylko śnie!
Nieważne dziewczyny, nieważne przyczyny
Ja prostu kocham się
Moze kiedys sie uda. W kazdym razie najwyzszy czas sprobowac.

Another depressing day
Maybe tonight I'll go out with Andrea. If she'll come back from Plzeň. I dont want to spend another evening alone in the appartment. IT's depressing.

Sokoleč, les, kočka, pes...
Teď Vám něco napíše Liduška:
Hoj!

To moj ulubiony prezenter, ukasztaltowal moj gust muzyczny w duzym stopniu. Poza tym on nadawal ton Trojce, byl wyznacznikiem jej poziomu razem z Kaczkowskim. A teraz odchodzi.... Gdy o tym mowil, glos mu sie lamal :(

Juz piatek!
Dzisiaj gra Hey. Wlasnie leci Teksanski... klasyka. Dawne czasy sie przypominaja. Nostalgia i tesknota.
Wracajac do tematu, w domu spokojniej. I nawet dostalam kwiatuszki przed wczoraj.

Trzymajcie kciuki.
A teraz na Tara-Fuki!
Reality better than plans
And today I'm going to see Tara Fuki with Lida, Jirka, maybe Ade and Prince. It will be fun. Especially that they are playing on the island - Strelecky Ostrov.

Evening plans
The plan is:
1. go shopping on the way home and get something delicious
2. get home early, before 6 if possible
3. do the dishes as quickly as possible
3. clean all the clothes and other crap lying everywhere
4. cook something delicious
5. watch a good, optimistic movie, probably Jasminum, with dinner and the delicious thing bought earlier
Tomorrow I'll let you know if it worked. It's after 5 already, so I have to get going.

Neuveritelne

Jerry Williams z Little Rocku, Arkansas, získal $14,500 + úhradu nákladů léčení, když byl napaden sousedovým psem beaglem.

I'm sorry that it's only in Czech but it's too long to translate during such a hot day. As I mentioned before, we should all learn new languages :)
Praski piekarnik
I'm dying today - it's crazy hot and I went for lunch. It was a big mistake. I should have eaten fruits or yogurt as I planned. I'd feel better. On the other hand I'm going to the swimming pool today with Lida, so I thought that I should eat something normal to have energy to swim. But now I have even less energy than I would without lunch.
I will continue dying for the next 2 hours. I'm leaving early today to meet Lida. And I don't really care. It's too hot to stay here especially without work to make me busy.

Pics
There is hope
Yesterday was a very bad day for our relationship. I got up in a bad mood and the it screwed up everything because Saturday was OK. Normal. And now normal is good. But yesterday was not normal. We were together but separately. I couldn't feel anything between us, it was like two random people in the same room. It was extremely hard.
In the evening my aunt called me and told me to go for a walk. So I went and it was good. I walked for over 2 hours ad thought a lot. I realized that I am behaving very stupid, not like an adult. That I'm running away from the problems. I do not control my very changeable moods. That I should finally decide what I want. And decide for good.
When I came back from the walk, it was much better, because we talked honestly. Prince agreed that it may be good for us to take some kind of a break and we had an idea that he could go to the US for some time. Especially that he is going for a wedding in August, he could prolong it. He hasn't discussed it with his parents so far, so it's nothing sure but we think it's a good idea. We would have time to think about our relationship without being together (it's very difficult now, because we live together).
We hope that a short time separately will make us realize if we really want to be with each other. And if we both decide that yes, we want to spend the rest of our lives together, we can work on the problems. Otherwise, it makes no sense to put an effort but without commitment.
All right, enough of this. We will solve it. And we will be happy - together or separately.
One more thing: Czech Rep was suddenly moved to Africa... it's crazy hot. Today it's supposed to be 39 degrees! Crazy! I cannot function normally in those conditions, it's terrible!

Nowy dzien, stare mysli
Nic sie od wczoraj nie mienilo, nadal panuje tu depresja, pesymizm i brak nadziei. Moze jutro bedzie lepiej...
Moze powinnam sie najpierw nauczyc byc sama, zeby moc byc z kims. I stad mi sie w glowie przewraca.

Glupiutka
Co zostalo z tego postu?
Nadal czuje sie jak w klatce. Jak ptak w klatce. Ale ta klatka sie zmniejsza z kazda minuta. Kazdy wie, jak wyglada ptak przyzwyczajony do wolnosci, zlapany w klatke. Tak sie wlasnie czuje. Najgorsze, ze sama sobie ta klatke zbudowalam i sama sie w niej zamknelam.
Nevermind.... moze jutro bedzie lepiej.

Another boring day
Today is a very nice day. I done nothing! I worked for the first hour and then all the clients were kind of quiet, two team members were taking care of anything there was to do, so I read blogs, visited myspaces of some friends, read newspaper, watch videos (news).... And then I had an English class, I was the only one there for the first 20 minutes, then one other person came so we had a conversation class. It was a lot of fun. Not that I tough so much, I have "conversation classes" every day at home, but it was nice and relaxing. Then I went for a coffee. And here I am, waiting for a conference call, that I will just have to listen. After that we're going to a party: a girl is leaving the company.
I spoke with my parents yesterday. They are all happy about the house. They almost finished everything. The only main thing left are doors, it's supposed to be done the next week I think. I'm so happy for them, that they made it!
I hope this time I will not crush my glasses during the party! Keep your fingers crossed :)

Frustrating job and relaxing 4days weekend
So this was one thing. And the other was even worse because I had to explain myself and I looked like an idiot. I won't go into details, it's not worth it, but the reason was the same: not taking into considerations differences between regions. America is really not the center of the world! Regardless of what most Americans think.
So that's that. Quick update on my work. I would love to move on and find something else now, but it doesn't really make sense if we want to move to Scotland. This is apparently another problem...
Prince was all about moving to Scotland before we went there for the holidays. Now, he is finding many many reasons why it will not work out, all the problems that we will have - up to moving our stuff. In my opinion, we should not worry about actual moving right now, but look for a job / studies, find out how big chances of getting a good job do we have and so on... Then we can figure out how to move all of this crap that we collected and how to find apartment and so on.... So I'm a bit frustrated with this as well.
At lease I started to run again, which helps me to get rid of all bad emotions. Spots is really good for mental health.
Now, let's move to the nice and happy aspects of my recent life.
Last week we had two days national holidays Thursday and Friday, so we planned a trip to Czech Paradise with hiking and camping. Actually it was Prince who planned it all. The plan was great, but a little bit too intense. First day, on Thursday morning we took a bus to Mlada Skala. As soon we get of the bus it started puring rain. So we waited for some time till it got better, went to the campsite, got totally wet. And then it stopped, so we put up our tent and went hiking. It rained again during the day, but there were times with sun. So went hiking, we got to the best castle ever Vranov - Pantheon. The castle was carved in the rock, it's really amazing to imagine people living there in XV th century! After that we hiked to Frýdštejn, another castle on and in the rock. From there we went to Drábovna that supposedly had ruins but really, there were only rocks, on which a wooden castle used to stand. It was still really cool. We walked trough Besedické skály, a wonderful rock formations and rock cities. I will try to post some pics soon so that you can see how wonderful it was.
The only problem was that Prince started having problems with his knee in the middle of our hike. It was quite bad. But we hiked the way we planned, although I hoped we could go to the other side of Mlada Skala in the afternoon. We came to town, had some dinner and went to sleep very early. We hoped to get up at 6 but we slept quite late. I slept very well, which was surprising, because usually I cannot get comfortable on the sleeping pad. Ad Prince had problems during the night so he finally got some sleep in the morning. And we left much later we planned - around 9. We went to Zbirohy, another ruined castle that was build on three rocks. On the way back we couldn't decide what to do and if we should stay or go back to Prague. The main reason for going back was Prince's knee but an uncomfortable night played an important role in his attitude. So we decided to hike a little bit more to another part of Besedické skály. I wish we made our decisions quicker and not second guess them over and over again. This way we could have take a longer but easy hike around Suche Skaly. Well, at least I saw them from the tow. But we have serious problems with making decisions together. Yet another issue of our relationship....
So we went back to Prague, we got home around 4 or 5. I cannot say that we didn't spend a nice two day is Prague. We went for a very nice dinner on Friday (this time Prince didn't even complain that I do not talk, we had a very good conversation). On Saturday I went running, we gamed and in the afternoon we went to have dinner with some friends. They were planning to go to a blues pub for some concert, but we decided to go home. We planned to go back to Cesky Raj the next day - to the castle Kost. So we missed what seemed a very interesting event and the next morning we did not get up :))) We are so lazy.... But we had to get up really early to catch the bus, and we were tired and so on... OK, I'm rationalizing it. In the end we spend most Sunday separately - Prince was working on the game and I went running and them to Vysehrad (I had a nice walk and I spend some time there reading; it was quite nice). We gamed a little bit in the afternoon, that was cool.
So that's our "great" weekend! We thought we are tough and can camp and hike in the rain and so on...but we're not :) I have to admit this. Still, it was a fun weekend and except for two tiny things (hiking longer on Friday and going somewhere on Sunday), I wouldn't change anything.

Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
I left Friday morning with Marysia and her 2 friends, we got to Karlovy Vary around 11, left the bags at the hostel (it wasn't a real hostel, it's just a school where people can sleep during the festival, so it's very basic - just a piece of floor to sleep on, sinks and toilets; not shower!). And we started our great adventure with movie!
First we got out passes that allowed us see 3 movies a day for free, the schedule and all the info, how to reserve the tickets, which is not that easy - there are tones of people and not so many seats in the theaters. So we got tickets for Friday and Saturday and we went for lunch (fried cheese of course, girls came from the country where fried cheeses was not discovered so far) and for a walk. The town is really beautiful, obviously build for the richest to come and relax in the spa. So the buildings are very fancy and the theater is amazing, and the hotels, everything! Even the communist didn't manage to destroy it too much. The town was build by the valley of a river, so on both sides there are hills / mountains. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to explore them, but I hope we can go there some day with Prince and do that.
The walks we managed to do, were between the movies, to get from one cinema to the other :) But in Karlovy Vary, everywhere you go it's beautiful and you can always discover something new and pretty. The first day, we decided that we have some time before the movie starts so we decided to go for a walk. So we walked and walked, and couldn't find the path in the right direction! We almost missed our movie, we got there just 6 minutes before the screening and the rule is that if you won't take your seat up to 5 minutes before, your ticket is given to someone else. Well, we managed it. But I think that Marysia wished later that we didn't. The movie was Japanese thriller. It sound very interesting, about the guy who can enter people's dreams. But both Marysia and me have issues with scary movies. Marysia is even worse than me. And I just don't watch such movies, because I'm too scared. So we went, sat in the first row and hold each other's hand not to be scared. Marysia missed probably half the movie, me around 25% - we were too scared to watch. At the end I wasn't so scared - I was laughing too hard at us. But the movie was good, it's just the way Japanese movies are - very bloody.
So that's what we saw:
1. Venus, a British movie about being old, weird relationship and dying, almost a comedy,
2. Nightmare detective, the Japanese thriller
3. Pingpong, about 16 year old falling in love with his aunt, very German movie
3. Hranice, short movie about a very interesting episode in Czech history, starring actors from a TV show I watch sometimes, proved to be better actors than I expected
4. Marta, there is war and partisans, father and son who finds a wounded women soldier and takes her home, a bit too minimalist
5. Rozpominani a documentary about the Czech society, a series of short interviews with people met on the streets, in pubs, hospital and so on; the questions is: does it captures anything we didn't know yet; it was quite funny
6. Klopka very depressing Serbian movie; how much is life worth; can you kill a man to save a child
7. Bestiář light comedy about a girl and a boy and a few more boys, the only one movie we saw that was not depressing in any way, it wasn't that good either; so maybe a good movie has to be sad and pessimistic....
8. The Letter classic, black and white psychological movie, directed by William Wyler; if only now directors learned from it; there was not action as such but it didn't need to, that's the way to show person's thoughts and motives;
9. Przebacz Polish movie for the end; again depressing but there was a bit of hope, with good hip-hop (sometimes I miss laud hip-hop from behind the wall) behind
Unfortunately, that's all I managed to see. I saw 4 movies on Saturday and it was a little bit too much. I wish I could stay longer, but work.... And I went without Prince and not, we have 4 day weekend so we plan to go to the Czech paradise.
The weekend was great, Marysia - than you for invitation!

Odleciec
Same roznice, ktore trzeba pokonywac na kazdym kroku. W koncu sie to staje nie do zniesienia. Pozostaje pytanie : czy warto?

3. Prince posted on his blog - check it out!

We're back!
But now, I'm swamped with work. I had almost 700 emails to read. It's been only 7 working days! Crazy!
So I'll write more and post some pics when I'll finish reading them :) No, I'm already done. But still, I need to catch up with everything else.
Maybe you could convince Prince to write a few words, I'm sure it's much more enjoyable for you to read than my crapy English.

Short post written in a hurry
I'm sorry for a long break but for some reason life is really crazy recently. I wanted to write about so many great things that we did, for example canoe trip or Prazske Jaro (we saw Wagner's opera made into one concert "Ring without Words" and China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra - traditional Chinese music). Now, we're preparing for our greatest trip of this year - to Scotland. We're leaving tomorrow eary afteroon and I still have a lot to do, so I'll leave you here.
Take care and keep you fingers crossed that we both fall in love with Scotland - it might be our future home.

Ordinary day
Caly weekend przespalam - doslownie. W sobote wstalam z lozka ok 16-17tej. Ach, w niedziele bylismy w botaniku, na wystawie bonsai. Super! Jedna z najlepszych - miniaturowa wierzba. Adze Adasiowej by sie spodobalo. W ogole fajny ten botanik.
Biedactwo. Takze pojde chyba do domu, puszcze sobie jakis film i bede czekac na Ksieciunia az wroci z pracy.
I jeszcze slucham nowej plytki Dolore. Jest sliczna.

@ home
I did many things, too many to write about now (it's late at night and I'm waiting to talk to Prince). I have to mention that I went to Krakow. It was a very sentimental trip: I visited all places I loved and hated, places I spend most of my time like the campus, my student house, Blonia, favourite pubs (the ones still existing), ate traditional polish pierogi. Of course I met my best friends: Marta and Gucio. We had to go to see Gucio 'cause he was working late and couldn't come to Krakow so I even had a short trip to mountains. It's a pity more people couldn't come but that's life. I lost many of my friends, well it means they were not really my friends. Still it would be nice to see them. But the trip was great even if only one day. Pics from Krakow.
I also posted some photoes from grill at my cousin's place on Monday here.
And that's all for now. I will try to write more when I get home - Prince got online.

Always difficulties
Now I have to figure out what I'm doing tomorrow - Prince is unfortunatelly going to work, so I will have the whole day for myslef. I will probably go rollerblading, maybe something more.
And I may change my plans regarding my trip to Poland. Prince doesn't like the idea that I will not be here for 2 long weekends when we could go somewhere. On the other hand, I wouldn't be home as long as I wanted; only a week. I will still go home in September though. And a week is not the short. Also, I'm kind of short on money and maybe I should not go on any trips. But if we went somehwere in the Czech Rep - I was thinking Cesky Raj, it wouldn't be so expensive. Ojej, always problems with making decisions. I know my family won't be happy about my decision. But it's still a week! And soon I will be back!

How am I suppoze...
A quote from today's CNN coverage: "Lawmakers are speaking out with moments of silence."
Spring or summer
On Friday we went to see 300. Visually interesting, but the story was... stolen. It was mixture of what happened at Termopolis, the Lord of the Ring and Gladiator. Prince did not like it at all, I thought it was interesting and that's all. Also, there was more handsome men to look at than women :) After the movie we went for a Mexican dinner that again I liked but Prince not too much. It was Mexican but it wasn't too spicy, which is great for me, because I don't like too spicy food, but Princce said that Mexican is suppozed to be spicy.
On Saturday we went outside of Prague, which I was wanting to do for a long time. We went to castle Okor. Now, it's only ruins, but cool. I like ruins. Pictures will be available tomorrow, if Price will download them.
OK, this is really not creative. I need some inspiration. I will continue maybe tomorrow or some other day. Sorry, but this is just stupid. I can't create better sentence than: we went there and saw that.
I'm going to enjoy our gorgous weather, at least on my way home from tram because I'm wearing very uncomfortable shoes and cannot even walk home. Oh, well...

Velryba
Diki, Honzo!
Lots of sand
Easter
Saturday I went to Church to bless the food (Polish tradition) and then we went to see a movie. We found great art cinema very close to us. We actually found it a long time ago and planned to go there many many times, but somehow it never worked. This time we finally did go and saw Red Road. Good movie. The only problem is that I was expecting it to be in English and it was not! It was in Scottish, which not at all English! I had to read Czech subtitles to understand anything! That will be the problem if we'll move there.
On Sunday I went to Church, in Czech. It was interesting experience. I understood 90%, but I did not know how to answer in Czech so I was praying in Polish and got mixed a few times.
In the early afternoon we went to horse races. It was a lot of fun. I bet a few times, but just 20 kc, so didn't loose much. The horses were beautiful.
Yesterday I went to Church again, this time the Polish one. Before I went jogging. After, we went for a long walk to Vysehrad. So now my legs are pretty tired. But it was a very nice day and I enjoyed it a lot.
And today is a hard back to work day. Hope you'r ehaving better time with it than me.

Post Falun meeting
So yesterday there was Marysia, Vladka and Honza, Olga S., Lida, Lukas and me and later my Prince showed up (he met with Ann first who came from Berlin for a few days). I had fun, I hope you all had a good time too.
Honza had some brilliant ideas i.e. the way for Lida to live cheaply in Prague is to become my kangaroo :) We first discussed the possibility of her being our dog, but she is too big for yorki and we'd have to walk her to the park and so on. Kanagroo is much better.
Honza had some more ideas like this, but I can't remember them. I've been trying to remember one think, he said, but I cannot. It was an example of his beautiful logic.
I was laughing a lot, it was almost like being in Sweden again, only the beer was cheaper.
Lukas drove us home - thank you :)
At home, Prince made us some dinner. It was delicious. He even shared his swedish blueberry soup with us. Mniam mniam.
And we went to bed.
This morning I really did not want to wake up, but I did, took a shower (I was still half asleep and used soap to wash my hair instead of shampoo - they were standing next to each other). I don't have a headache or anything like this, I'm just tired.
Lida seemed fine too. Also tired, but besides that ok.
Prince felt terrible. Headache, weir stomach and something else that I foregot. Biedactwo. And he didn't even drink rum with us.
Today we're going to M&M's for a game night. I will suck. They want to play "Trivia pursuit" or something like that. I'm not good in trivia knowledge when I'm in good shape, but today it will be a diseaster with my brain not working very well.
I hope it's enough for Honza to be satisfied. I will try to post some pics from Amsterdam this weekend (I foregot about that).
Take care and Veseli Velkonoce :))

Polski tydzien
Cudowny film! Bardzo pozytywny i nastrajajacy pozytywnie, kolorowy i pachnacy, wiosenny. Goraco polecam.

Just a quick update
My managers are here this week so I'm crazy busy with meetings non stop. But they are nice people. Tonight we're going for a dinner, hope it will be fun.
Amsterdam was great, but I will write more when I'll have some time. Work is very busy as usual and at home I don't feel like sitting in front of the computer again, after the whole day at work.
Take care people.

You should learn Polish
Yes, I called Prince Rob. I was sad and many other things and I didn't even notice. I definitelly didn't do it on purpose. He is still my prince. My only prince. And best. And I am not going to allow it to be changed. (BTW that's to you Prince too: don't even try to leave this country without me. Don't even thing about it. I will not let you. I may even consider working the land - just not in Russia.)
I am better now than last week. Maybe not actually now, I'm getting sick and I'm hungry like a mad dog.
BTW you all should learn Polish or Czech so I don't have to write in two languages :)
Kolejny piatek
No, poza jedna rzecza.
Jesli same glupoty, zawsze mozecie stronke zamknac, wyrzucic do kosza i zapomniec.

Couldn't Care Less
It’s really, really aching and soar
My heart don’t care anymore
I really can’t bear more
My hands don’t work like before
I shiver and I scrape at your door
My heart can’t carry much more
But you couldn’t care less
Could you
Your face don’t look like before
It’s really not like yours anymore
Your eyes don’t like me no more
They quiver and they shift to the floor
My heart don’t beat like beforeI
t’s never been this lone
No my blood don’t flow anymore
And you couldn’t care less
Could you
Could we stop and sleep for a spare
We can turn this stitch into a ware
And send that old devil back to hell
But we don’t care do we
Baby let’s stop and sleep for a spare
We can turn this stitch into a ware
And send that old devil back to hell
Your back’s not straight like before
You really shouldn’t care in me no more
I’m much too heavy for you
I’m really quite a mess, yes
We just don’t care anymore
We’re cricket and were cut to the core
We’re just not there anymore
But we really don’t care do we
No, we couldn’t care less
We couldn’t care less
Could we?
That's more or less how I feel. But don't missnderstand me, I am not talking about Rob. It's more general feeling about everything.
RUN AWAY!!! I want to fly away
Juz kiedys czulam sie podobnie, wtedy pojechalam do Szwecji i zmienilam chlopaka.

Big come back
Christmas was wonderfull. Everything was great: the crown familly, the palace (it's actually very close to being a palace), the places we went to (Williamsburg, Jameestown, DC). It was also very different and didn't feel like Christmas at all, party because of the weather. Here it was simillar, but we went on the boat:

It was strange without Chrismas Eve, big dinner and 20 people. Nonetheless, it was great.
On the New Year's Eve we went for a dinner to the best restaurant in the world, called Pacific Rim, and we had a flaming volcano drink :) We also had some delicious food. Then we came back to Mike and Kerrie's for a nice evening. We almost missed midnight :D We were smoking and realized that it was midninght just a little bit too late. It was great to meet Mike and Kerrie, after I heard so much about them. Their daughter Andy is sooooo cute.
I had a great time, very relaxing, out of the cities, out of Prague, which was nice.
I discovered that there is Warszawa in Virginia:

I would put some more pics but I'm having issues, so some other time.
After we came back, I had crazy time at work with the new 2 folks in my team. But I like it, the atmosphere is nice and I like all the 3 of them. This Thursday I also went for a party with people from work and it was great! I had such a good time. Maybe because I feel more comfortable speaking Czech, maybe because of the music (I was dancing - and I haven't danced for almost a year probably), maybe because it wasn't planned. I don't know, but I had a great time. Now I'm going to join people from work more often.

Jesienna plucha.

The weather in Prague is terrible - cloudy, rainy, cold and grey so I thought I should at least make my blog look more happy then the reality. (The picture was of course taken by Prince.)
I spoke with Lida about our blogs - her is always so much more interesting, because she doesn't write only "I did this, I went there", her is more philosophical. And more interesting, although I have sometimes problems understanding (it's all in Czech). Well, I'm no philosopher like she is so my blog will stay as it is. If it will stay for long.
So today we did Christmas Shopping part II. It wasn't as enjoyabale as part I (which I wrote about before but I guess in Polish), because of the weather. We went to Christmas markets at Stromestske Namesti and Vaclavske Namest and the market between Staromak and Vaclavac, by the big Ceska Sporitelna bank. Prince did some gifts shopping, I did a little, but I got me a scarf. And I got a cold or a flu (introduction to a flu) or something. Or maybe I'm just getting old, but my bones and musles hurt. So I slept for the whole afternoon and now I'm wondering how I will sleep at night but actaully I could go to bed now. I read in a magazine that there is a disease called hypersomnia. So maybe I am not as lazy as everybody thought, I'm just sick! Hehe. I need a lot of sleep otherwise I cannot function normally. I'm tired - good night :)

Tajemstvi
Today I'm terribly tired. And lazy. I just don't want to do anything, I want to go to sleep and that's all. And it's just 10 a.m. On the other hand it's Friday so it's good.

Friday :)))
Today Prince has a Christmas party, so I have the whole appartment to myslef - I will take looong shower and watch some Czech or Polish or Slovak movie. And maybe read. The most important thing is that I will do absolutely nothing!
And now a story about what can you loose and find:
So my last day in Poland I was packing and I couldn't find my return ticket. I looked in my bag, backpack, everywhere around my desk, under the bed, inside the bed, behind the bed, in the car.... everywhere. I called the bus comapny but they said they cannot give me another, so I was prepared to buy another ticket (as expensive as the two way I lost). Half a day destroyed because of this stupid ticket. So we got to Warsaw, to the bus station and I went to talk to the bus driver about how much the ticket will be exactly. And ... it was for free - he handeled me my old ticket, I just left it in the bus.
That was the first part of the story. The second is better.
A week before going to Poland, it was very cold in Prague so I decided that I will take out my winter coat (very long, big coat). So I looked in the wordrobe we keep clothes we don't use too often - no winter coat. I looked in my regular closet - no winter coat. In the bed, in Prince's closet, under the second bed.... and? no coat. After panicking for 2 hours and trying to figure out how and where I could loose it (together with Prince), I decided to have another look inside the bed. And what I thought was a blanket, appeared to be my winter coat!
Great! I think I'm loosing my mind. The only thought that keeps me all right is that there are worse people (i.e. Lida).
Have a good weekend!

Sweet home
So today I got to Warsaw and we were half an hour late but my dad was not at the bus station. I walked by the parking lot hoping I will find him there but no sigh of any car with Lublin's licence plate. So I sat and waited, walked aroung for a bit and become worried: what if he had an accident; maybe he just overslept; but they would let me know; but what if.... all over in my head. My dad doesn't have a mobile so I couldn't call him. Finally he came - an hour later that we were suppoze to meet. They were doing some road construction and he ended up further than the airport (anyone who know Warsaw even only a bit knows that the Bus Station West is nowhere near the airport). And the funniest thing is that when we were going to Lublin, he missed the turn from the main highway. And it never hapens to him! He was very tired, he got up at 4 a.m. just to pick me up. He is the best Dad ever!
So today we talked a lot, we went shopping (I did some Christmas shopping), talked some more, my aunt visited us for a little while, I showed them pics from the US and we talked some more. And now I'm ready to bed, very very tired, and instead of sleeping I'm writting a very long post... OK, good night everyone! Have a good day tomorrow!

Happy birthday to me
Last week was quite nice. We went out on Monday with Andrea and Jirka (IT guy - Price was pretending he's jelous of him). We kind of celebrated my birthday which was on Tuesday but Prince works until 9 p.m. on Tuesdays so we couln't really do anything. So it was nice evening, I got a Pilgrim ring (very very cute, with blue flowers). Andrea knew I love Pilgrim but cannot afford it (it's Dannish company, they have really cute jewellery). On Tuesday I got present from Prince: beautiful necklace. I will take a picture of it and post it. It's cooper with 3 little flowers, handmade. It's really beutiful. And then on Wednesday I got 2 cards at work.
It was strange birthday because I didn't really celebrate. I mean there was no party or anything, but I didn't mind. It was just different. And I'm old: quarter of a century! Well, it didn't change anything: the big step for ma was to finish studies, start work and be 100% responsibile for myself.
Oh, I have a story. Few weeks ago I received an email that during my company's "all-hands meeting" I was announced as one of the Spotlight Award Winner's. The strangest thing was that I have no idea what is the Spotlight Award! I thought it was some kind of lotery (during similar meeting in Prague somebody won mp3 player, somebody else gym membership). So I was waiting and waiting and finally on Friday I got the letter. I was shocked! Letter signed by the biggest boss of my company, with quotes from cllients how great I am, in leather cover! But that's not all. In the letter I found small gold envelope with American Express cheques for.... 250$!!!!! It was a good end of a week :)

Kolejny poniedzialek
So this is all for the weekend. We played poker on Friday, on Saturday I was dying, so we didn't do anything, yesterday Prince told me he will be working, so we didn't do anything either (of course, he started working around 8 pm).
This week seems to be nice: today, Ireland has a bank holiday, Wednesday - Poland (and then Friday is off in the company we work for, so 99% of people will take Thursday off as well). So I shouln't have too much work. I hope...

Co w trawie piszczy
And btw we were in a nice castle this week: Konopiste. It's around 45 km from Prague, not too popular, but very nice. It used to be Franz Ferdidand's hunting place, so it has a huge park aroud it and tones of dead animals inside (which is not that nice). And there was a wedding in the castle when we were there. It would be really cool to get married in a castle. Also, crazy expensive (probably).
OK, going back to work. Have a nice day everybody, and don't foreget about me! I promise, I will be back.

Pewien znany ktoś , kto miał dom i sad
Zgubił nagle sens i w złe kręgi wpadł

Grand Tetons
Travelling was nice, without any problems. I got to Pittsburgh late Sunday evening after almost 24 hour trip, I took a shower and went to bed. And woke up at 4 am. Rolled over on my side - nothing. Rolled again on my back - nothing. I just couldn't fall back asleep. So I read till 6, do some ironing and went to work. Ariba building is huuge - over 30 floors, although we occupy only 3 of them. I finally met all the people I notmally communicate by email or phone. It was nice and a bit funny: when you know somebody for half a year but never saw him and finally you meet him. Our manager is nice but she was ignoring us for most of the time. The girl who was doing most of the training took care of us during work and in the evenings. We went shopping twice, went for mexican dinner (real, not Prague mexican) and I had one of the best cheese cake in the world. Almost as good as my mum's. We also went to the baseball game which was a lot of fun. You can't see it in Europe.
Pittsburgh is a nice city, not too big, not too small. It has very nice downtown. I enjoyed it a lot. But then came the best part: Grand Tetons!
The mountains are amazing! It's not like our mountains, which always have hills in front of them. There was a valley and sudenlly huuuuge mountains. Very impressive (I'll try to post some pictures some day but we have so many of them it will be hard choice.) I think they were the best mountins I've ever been in. And we saw a lot of wild life: mooses, bizons (or buffalos), bears, chipmonks, eagles, coyote, deers... probably I missed something. We also went cannoing which was a lot of fun. And to rodeo. But the views were the best. Amazing... I lack words to describe it so it have to be enough.
After a 5 days in Grand Teton National Park we went to Yellowstone which was nice but I prefer Grand Tetons. We didn't really hike in Yellowstone, so we spend most of the time in the car, just stopping to see some gazer (which were pretty impressive but I still prefer the mountains). We saw Old Faithfull and all the famous places there. But hiking in Grand Tetons was better. Here we drove and had a short walks on prepared paths (I know it's because you cannot walk on the ground - it's too dangerous - it's all on a huge volcano) so it didn't feel like nature too much. On the other hand in Grand Tetons we hiked a lot, sometimes there were many people, but sometimes there were nobody except for us. And the mountains...amazing. You all should go there, it's the best place ever.
OK, I have to go back to work. I have a few stories to tell you, i.e. about meeting the wild life, but it have to wait. Work first.

Hungary
The violence erupted at the state TV building following a largely peaceful rally calling on Mr Gyurcsany to quit.
In a leaked tape, Mr Gyurcsany admitted his government had lied to the public.
His comments, which were recorded just after a general election in April, have prompted calls for his resignation from opposition parties. ... " (the whole article at http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/5359250.stm)
I'm shocked. It's not mocking or anything. I'm very suprised that riots like this broke out in the middle of the Europe (although it's not that different from France a few months ago). But Hungaary is much more similar to Poland. As post-communist country, most of the civil activity should be dead by now, I would think. Apparently things were so bad, that people woke up.
But probably the most important reason why I'm shocked is that during the proccess of joining EU, we would compare Poland to Czech Rep. and Hungary. The latter always seemed to be so much more developed, with much stronger economy. And now what do I hear....
I think it not only shocked me. I am afraid. That there will be a similar situation in Poland, which economy is not growing fast enough and too many people are without jobs. The country ruled by twin brothers, the Ducks, very controversial: very religious, traditional, yearning for "strong" government.
And they are one of the reasons I don't want to go back to Poland.

In the world of fanasy
So I have a cold or something. It's getting better now but even yesterday I left work very early, I just couldn't think. All the time I feel so tired... I hate being sick. Ok, I could get sicker so I'd go to the doctor and not have to go to work for a week or something that would be nice on the one hand. But this is just a bad cold. And I just need to handle it. The worst is sneezing. It's not like normal sneezing, it's like my whole body is trying to out....
Thank you all for all the ideas about moving to the US. We need to think about it more. Prince wants to travel more around Europe so it would be logical to stay somewhere around here for a few more years. Oh, we'll see. I can't think about it now.
And I'm going to the US in 4 days!!!! I'm so excited!

Am I old enough to get me a watch?
I was thinking to transfer within my company but: 1. Prince doesn't want to live in Pittsburgh where my company is based (at least my department); 2. I am not sure if they would even consider it - the reason why they opened the office in Prague is to cut down costs.
I was also thinking about UK / Ireland. But then I was under the impression that Prince want to go to the US. It would be definitely easier.
We need to talk about it more.
OK, enough serious stuff. Yesterday we were in the pub. It was nice, not too many people but there was Courtney, Megan and Mark, Matt, Scott. We left really early - Prince wasn’t feeling too well, Courtney has a nickname Larry ('cause she always leaves early). So I went home too. Today we are suppose to go play darts but tomorrow we have to get up really early to go to Sychov castle to the Highland Games. And I feel weird today - my stomach. Not hangover but like I'd eat something. So we'll see about the evening. And yesterday when I came back home I broke the ring that Prince gave me for my name day. It was the second I broke. The first lasted over a year and the second not even a month. I was really angry. Now I need to go to Tesco. That's actually a good idea as I'm planning to get me a watch and they have both of them at Tesco. I figured out I'm old enough to have a watch. It's like a sign of being adult. All the kids want to have it, and of course I had it when I was a kid. But then it started irritate me. It's like a leash: you depend on the time so much more than if you wouldn't have it. I haven't used it for at least 5 years, since I have a cell phone. And it would be useful in the US as my mobile won't work there and it's good to know the time. I made a decision: I'm going to Tesco today.
Have a nice Friday and weekend!!!

Serius decisions
So I'm waiting for advice: how to solve it easily?

Borning days
Prince told me yesterday we should make some important decisions so now I'm thinking about it and I'm totally scared. I know that he cannot stay here for ever; especially that he doesn't have insurance here or any pension plan for that matter. Even if he would, teaching is not something he wants to do till the end of his life. OK, I understand. But that created a few questions: do we have to move somewhere? If yes, where? When? How?? He could try to find a regular job here, but I don't think that he wants. I feel that at this point he wants to go back to the US. And me? Well, I've never been there so I'm not sure. But I wouldn't mind. Only that I would never see my parents. And I love my family very much and I'd like to be able to visit them at least twice a year. Not from the US though. Next problem: it would be extremely difficult to save money here to be able to move there - Czech Korunas are not Euros. And we probably won't start working immediately. Also, I would have to get all the permissions to work there, and this ain't that easy.
My head is going to explode!!! Why everything have to be so difficult?

Music music music
After the concert on Saturday we went to play darts. I enjoyed it for the first time really because we were playing different game: the aim was to get exactly 301 points but if you get exactly the same amount of points as somebody else, the other person looses his / her points. So one don't have to be all that good at it to have fun. And I suck at darts.
But I almost foregot about the most important news: I have the ticket to the US!!! And the hotel booked. So I'm set up to go. I just need money, a lot of money. The plan is to go shopping there (I already asked a girl from the Pittsburgh office, she will be my guide). And on Monday we're going to the baseball game! Truly American experience. That's what I count for.

It has been raining for the past week.
We were planning on going to the Celtic Festival (outdoors) this weekend but it was raining.
I was going to go rollerskating but it was raining.
We were plaing Arcana half of the day yesterday.
Except for that we didn't do anything.
But we have a lot of plans.
Next weekend there is Love Planet festival, with Franz Ferdinand, Ministry, BodyCount feat. Ice T, The Rasmus, Pet Shop Boys (ach, well..it's a festival).
August 19th we're going to castle Sychrov u Turnova to see Scottish Games.
The last weekend of August Jan may come :)))
August 28th I'm leaving to the U.S. for 2 weeks, I'll be back on September the 10th. First week till Friday I'll be in Pittsburgh and the next week in Grand Tatons.
That's all. If something interesting happens, I'll let you know.
Have a nice week.
